We answer some of your most asked questions about the Stadium Karts experience.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Please contact our team in advance if you need to amend your booking and we will do our best to accommodated this. However, please note bookings cannot be changed within 24 hours of your booking time and full charges will apply.

  • Each session includes 10 minutes in the track plus approximately 10 minutes in the Drivers Briefing Room to get ready race ready, kitted out and prepped to take to the track.

  • Drivers need to be 14 years and older and minimum 140cm tall.

    If you are under 18, please make sure you have a parent or guardian sign you Waiver form when you check-in at the track and be present while you drive with us.

  • We want you to be comfortable and ready to have fun, but there are a few stipulations;

    • no loose clothing or loose jewellery

    • enclosed shoes must be worn

    • hair must be tied back

    Remember, Stadium Karts is an outdoor track and experience. While sunscreen is provided, we highly recommend you consider the weather on the day you are driving us and come prepared.

  • Stadium Karts is located within Stadium Park at Optus Stadium. Check out this map for the exact location on Warndoolia Boulevard.

    Once you have booked your drive online full details on where to go will be emailed to ensure you can easily find us!

  • On days that Stadium Karts operates, there is FREE parking available for Stadium Kart drivers and spectators.

  • We ask that you arrive 20 minutes before your session time to allow for the check-in and registration process. Due to booking demand, if you are late for your session, we are unable to move you to another time slot, and unfortunately you will miss out.

    On busier days and nights including Friday, Saturday and Sunday allow an extra 15 minutes if you are driving to allow more time for parking.

  • Driver and team safety is our number one priority.

    Our team will monitor weather forecasted and cancel sessions as required by our safety standards. If your session is cancelled due to weather, our team will be in contact to reschedule your drive to an alternate time or date.

  • We strongly recommend you book in advance as we will book out!

    While we will accept on-the-day walk-in bookings, we cannot guarantee there will be sessions available, so we advise that you book online, well in advance.

  • Yes, our bookings are open to all drivers 14 years and older and from 140cm. If for whatever reason you are not comfortable when you arrive for your drive, please see our team and we will make sure we look after you.

  • Each session is approximately 20 minutes in total. Once you have checked-in and completed your registration, you will have the chance to watch the live footage from drivers on the track before you get ready race ready, kitted out and prepped to take to the track.

  • We do not cap sessions based on laps! If you’re a fast driver then you’ll be able to do more laps within your session time! Challenge yourself with smooth technique to complete more than our record of 12 laps in the allocated session time.

  • Bookings are non-refundable unless required by law.

  • If there is still availability in the same session, absolutely. Check out the bookings sections to book your friend now! During peak periods we are likely to be booked out, so make sure you round up your friends and book well in advance.

  • Our Karts and Track give you the opportunity to get up to 70km per hour. While safety is our number one priority we also encourage our drivers to test their skills (safely of course) and see what time can be achieved on the live leaderboard.

  • The Stadium Karts track in Stadium Park at Optus Stadium is 740 metres.

  • After your race head to the Driver’s Lounge to check out your session's results on one of the screens. We will also email you your results at the end of your drive.

  • We run Viewpoint which is an in-kart camera system to capture all the action on track during your driving session. This can be purchased at reception when you arrive at Stadium Karts for your drive.

  • Once you finish your session, our team will remove the camera from your helmet. Once you are off the track safely, you can scan the QR code on your receipt to view the video on your phone, download it and share it any way you would like! Otherwise, head back to the Drivers Lounge to check out footage from previous sessions on one of the screens and the chance to view your driving debut.

  • Go-karting can be a thirsty business so there will be cold drinks and snacks available for purchase in the Drivers Lounge.

  • Definitely! Go-karting is such an amazing team building experience. With options including track takeovers focused on the driving experience to group bookings for 10+ people which includes complimentary in-kart cameras and balaclavas for all drivers, we’ve got you covered.

  • Safety for our drivers and our team is our number one priority! For this reason we have chosen SODIKARTs and deployed a range of track and kart management systems to effectively manage the safety on the track.

    Each kart is fitted with a transponder that enables our team to slow karts when there is an incident on the track so that if needed our Track Marshalls can enter the track safely and get our drivers back into the action as soon as safely possible.

  • Not at all! Stadium Karts is an experience for everyone wanting some fun and excitement. Whether you are a karting enthusiast or complete novice, this is a fun and thrilling experience in a super unique outdoor setting.

  • Stadium Kart operates for a limited season in super unique settings which comes with a range of specialised operational considerations. Put simply, the pop-up and outdoor nature of our operations including temporary buildings and barrier systems means it’s a more expensive operation to deliver at a safe and quality level.

  • Stadium Karts will only operate for a limited season so we recommend you don’t mess around and secure your booking ASAP!

  • Absolutely! Stadium Karts is the ultimate gift for an adrenaline junkie or someone wanting to have fun! Just make sure the lucky person you are buying for is at least 140cm as gift cards are non-refundable.

  • Yes, we are really focused on the best possible karting experience and we get that you want to know your best times so we are running a software that knows what kart you and in and what results you deliver. Your result will be emailed to you and the top times can be seen on the leaderboard in the drivers lounge post-race.

  • The weight guide for the SODI RT8s is that Drivers should not exceed is 120kg.

    We want you to be comfortable when you drive with us so you are welcome to come down to the track from 24 January onwards to see if you can comfortably sit in the kart before your booking.

  • Multi-drive packages must be used by the same Driver on the same day. If you are booking for more than one person or buying gift vouchers for more than one person, please make sure you select a gift voucher or drive package per person.
